Best stay in the river Cem area between Tamara and Vermosh. Lots of great walks directly from the house. Super nice rooms with Mountain View from the veranda, beds are very comfortable. The hosts are super friendly and have great tips. Definitely eat here (breakfast and dinner available) the food is the best food we had in Albania all freshly cooked with local or home grown ingredients. Thank you!

An incredible gem in the middle of heaven. Simple, but comfortable accomodation run by a very kind host couple. Delicious food, with most coming directly from the garden. The house is located in the quiet village of Vukël and a great starting point for hikes or bicycle tours. And since so many others have written about the road: Yes, the last 10km or so is indeed a gravel road, but wide and of good standard, even compared to gravel roads in many Western European countries. It was absolutely no problem to drive with a very normal and plain 2WD vehicle.

It was a small heaven! We loved our villa, the decoration was excellent and we had the two most relaxing days of our holiday. They welcomed as we are in a 5-star hotel. Everything included provided us a wonderful home away from our home. The owners of the restaurant Mary and Rudian Pellumaj were awesome. Mary is an amazing cooker. We had the opportunity to taste real albanian traditional food. We will never forget the feeling of waking up in this view! Highly recommended to those who seek serenity! As we left, my friend and I commented to each other that it had felt as though we were staying with an incredible and lovely pair of new grandparents. We felt accommodated from the moment we walked in the door until we left. The dinners left us entirely full and we still had food on our plates and every question - including, what fruit is on these trees, was left answered. If you would like to stay somewhere where you feel at home, comfortable and safe - book here. My favourite moment was when the host was knocking on the door opposite ours, telling them that they’d made him lunch (which hadn’t been asked for) to prepare them for the early wake up and trekking day ahead. The hosts are incredibly generous, welcoming and considerate. If you wish to experience feeling like you’ve stumbled on your Albanian grandparents home - they will feed you, house you in a clean and lovely home and welcome you.
