Our stay at Ali Ancient House was truly the highlight of a month traveling in Azerbaijan. Yes the location and accommodations are great, but the real highlight of this experience was meeting and spending time with this wonderful family. Lovely little family run hotel in Sheki. Large, bright, clean rooms and a lovely secure courtyard setting. We came for one night and stayed two as the hosts were so lovely and welcoming. Great room rates and home cooked dinner and breakfast is a very reasonable addition. All vegetables grown by the owners as we as free range hens for eggs. Food was delicious and large portions! Highly recommend!

Very comfortable hotel with a good size room. Bed was big and the linen was fresh and new. The owner was very kind and helpful. We were offered tea and cakes when we arrived, tea and fruit when we came back from dinner. The owner went above and beyond to help us with bus options to get where we wanted to go. Breakfast was very nice - lots of different cheeses, fruit, sausage, boiled eggs, sweet cakes and bread, tea and coffee. Walking distance to the historic sites, shops, restaurants and cafes. Close to local buses and there’s always a few taxis nearby which cost just a couple of manats to the bus station for inter-city buses.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always available whenever we needed something. The place was super clean and had everything we could possibly need, we didn’t have to bring much at all! The apartment is also very aesthetic. There are so many cute details everywhere… even adorable dolls that make the place feel so cozy! The balcony view is amazing, and the kitchen is beautiful too. I loved taking pictures of everything here! The location is perfect as well. It’s close to many historical places and attractions that you can easily explore on foot no need for a taxi. That made our trip even more enjoyable and convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting!
