We decided to stay within a short drive of Turnhout in quiet surrounds. B&B Tantine is a gem, the property is surrounded by stunning, peaceful gardens, everyting is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The centre of Retie is nearby Our room overlooked the garden, room was compact and well appointed with comfortable beds. Internet worked well. Breakfast is delicious and included eggs and bacon if desired, we especially enjoyed the locally made apple juice with lemon and ginger. The dining area is beautiful and I also enjoyed reading outdoors in the garden. The owners who hosted us were gracious and friendly. We noticed many people cycling in the area and this would be a perfect location to explore the area. I wish we could have stayed for more than 2 nights.

Cost and modern, artsy and practical, full of light and secluded. This one’s a gem, with own entrance, a marvelous modern kitchen and many old renovated wood elements. We loved the living - dining - kitchen room, where the sunrise shone a glowing red light through a round window, and the sunset’s glow was visible through three large window to the other side. The lighting is beautiful and cosy, there were vases, candles, a most unusual bathroom. The place is quiet, we heard birdsong, a frightened a dove nesting outside in the balcony whenever we left house. Beautiful and highly recommendable.

We loved the spacious rooms, cleanliness, the terrace, the overall modern decorations and the colors of the walls 😀 There was absolutely everything we needed, even with a minibar at your fingertips. Additionally, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with all our requests. Wifi worked like a charm 😜. But the best of all was the delicious breakfast - I guess we loved it the most ☺️ Plenty of space for parking a car with four bikes on it gave us freedom of choice and a peace of mind for the whole night as we could see it from our window, although it wasn't necessary to keep watch - it is a very safe and quiet place.

A lovely apartment on the second floor with a kitchen and a comfortable large bed. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom. The breakfast is superb. Throughout the day you have the opportunity to choose any tea. The friendly helpful hostess is a good person and constantly busy. The area is wooded. The building is away from the busy roads and is quiet. We will be able to use the pool in July, now the water is not so warm for us.
