The hotel is clean, right on the beachfront, with a beautiful view, and everyone who works there is extremely helpful and polite. I did the diving course right in front of the hotel, and it was incredible. I was very well taken care of. The restaurant is excellent as well, with wonderful service.

“I seldom give 10 out of 10 on every category, but this hotel is the exception. It is right on the beach with stunning views day and night. Everything is sparkling new, extremely comfortable and with an elevator from the ground floor through to the spacious rooftop patio. ( Perfect for a private party ) Just about anything a visitor might wish to know was laid out in simple terms and sent to me upon booking. The one simple question I had was answered immediately by the Manager Jake who even popped over to see me. He was so helpful and within minutes, it felt like we had been friends for years. The wifi was perfect, the location 2nd to none with the No 1 bar on the island (Wayo’s) a 1 minute walk away. I will be back with some friends to enjoy hat rooftop patio

Amazing location away from everything, yet so comfortable. We swam and kayaked, found beaches all to ourselves. The plunge pool was cool and beautiful and the rooftop lounge was amazing. Staff were kind and helpful without being intrusive.

Absolutely loved our cosy cabin at Matachica. Fairy tale arrival by speed boat with drinks awaiting us was an amazing start to the holiday. The resort is quiet, stylish and very tastefully decorated. It never felt busy even though i think it was over half full. The food was amazing! The chef knows what they're doing - fantastic bread and breakfast pastries but every meal was delicious. However, what made our trip were the staff - everyone was so kind and willing to help in any possible way. We had problems with our air conditioning unit and after an initial fix failed they replaced the whole unit whilst giving we the option to change rooms if we wanted (we didn't - we were too settled) Lovely people but i also found that generally true of Belize. Thank you so much. Do try the trips - we borrowed a kayak to go to the reef across from the hotel and snorkel with sting rays but also did organised Hol Chan trip including swimming with nurse sharks which was fabulous.

Pictures and descriptions if anything were understated. Lots of open space to relax, good size pool and great views. Staff was very attentive when needed but otherwise let us be. Highly recommend

It was great for what I needed. 5 minute walk to dive shops and very clean. The fridge and microwave in the room was much appreciated. The staff were great. Supermarket is a 2 minute walk around the corner. Would stay again.
