This exceeded our expectations. The room was great, the view was AMAZING (we called it quits early to drink wine, read, and look at the city), staff were super helpful as well. And the breakfast on the rooftop was gold. This was one of my best stays... ever.

Great location and very helpful recommending restaurants, etc. We loved breakfast on the terrace, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and watching the fireworks from there on New Year's Eve. Also loved the historic character of the hotel. The room was small but comfortable and everything we needed. (I wrote a previous review based on a different place. So sorry!)

The room was beautiful, the bed was confortable and the views over the city and the port were breathtaking. The location was good and quiet, thus a little far from most of the attractions of the city. We enjoyed the breakfast and the garden. The staff went above and beyond to help us.

Incredible hosts - our check in was like having your own personal tour guide of the city. So much relevant and helpful information, we could explore instantly and confidently. Information in advance of our arrival ensured we got from the bus terminal easily (and cheaply) Everywhere super clean, with all the necessary kitchen equipment.

My husband and I could not be more grateful for the staff here at Hostal Tunquelen. They were so kind and friendly and went out of their way beyond our expectations to help us when we needed it. We felt like family staying here! The location was also a walking distance within the Valparaiso bus terminal, the beach, stations and buses and shops/market. Prime spot when staying at Valparaiso and the windows had a good view of the city.

a beautiful and charming hotel in the middle of historic Valparaiso. We were very friendly welcomed. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with some links to the former occupant, the English painter Somerscales. The family room we booked was very large, with a beautiful view on the hills of valparaiso. The beds were of high quality, as was the bathroom. breakfast was excellent. If you step out of the hotel you are in the middle of the touristic centre, with many bars and restaurants, amidst many scenic views. The street in which the hotel is situated feels safe and more quite, with free parking space in front of the hotel. Highly recommended!
