The staff were so friendly, everything was so clean and tidy including the kitchen which had everything you need! Rooms were spacious with a big locker for all your belongings. Lots of chill out spots and good WiFi. Would highly recommend! Will be staying here when I come back to Puerto Viejo:)

We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. We had a wonderful stay in Mecca. The accomodation is in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo but easy to acces by taxi or bike. The place is clean and equipped with everything you need. Kim is a really kind host, she will inform you of all the things to do in the area. We had a great time and miss the two cute dogs already.

Everything! It’s as gorgeous as the pictures, perhaps better in person, clean, staff are all so nice and helpful, would come back over and over! So close to town, but doesn’t feel it, an oasis to escape to.

We loved the hotel because it was very cosy and the staff was just absolutely brilliant. They were kind, thoughtful and smiling ! so rare ! Well done ! We loved the pool, watching our favorite Netflix show on the tv while relaxing in the jacuzzi. We loved the breakfasts and the massage table ! We recommend this hotel. Bathroom and toilets are also clean and perfect.
