Pura Vista Glamping was a great find and place to spend the night. Wendy and Roger were super helpful in helping us find a place to eat and in suggesting things to do while we were there. High recommend the Essence Arenal Jungle Night Tour right across the street from Pura Vista. It was an exceptional 90-minute tour with Aurelio. The photo was the view from our little dome deck

Highly recommended: The butterfly conservatory which is literally just a few minutes walk up the street is awesome with several stunning walks, views, and stories of its own. Everything. Literally everything. It's one of those places where you can't go wrong. The rooms are a perfect combination of modern facilities and nature. There's a daily yoga session (paid) with a view to the Arenal volcano and nothing but green and nature around. The place has 2 or 3 trails, connecting the reception to the rooms' area that allow you to see several types of animals (from monkeys to tocanos). There's not much "light pollution" around which is perfect to watch a starry night sky.

The view on the Arenal lake and region from the Nepenthe B&B is absolutely wonderfull. We had a great time there. Breakfast is served close to the property. Personel of the restaurant is very friendly and helpfull. We had dinner as well and they provide enough choices for a family. Toucans were flying around the property. The swimming pool is nice and has the most beautiful view. Definitely a peaceful place to stay if you like to be a bit more remote from the more busy La Fortuna city. We would recommend it.

The views were fantastic, Arenal volcano is intimidating ( as it is very close to the resort) but mesmerising. The bird life is abundant and the Coatis walk around ignoring people just doing their own things (which is as it should be) The breakfast was fantastic. The road to the resort is a dirt road and could be rough. there are no lights at night ,hence be careful when venturing out at night.However if you have a good car and consider the road conditions it can be easily done with an SUV or a constant 4WD. I will recommend a big car but not necessarily 4x4. As the resort is very isolated the only place to have dinner is the restaurant which was expensive. However with a good car you can venture into the small local towns an have a multitude of choices.( alway ask the staff about eating choices you will get good information from them ).Hence that is one of the reasons I will recommend an SUV. As the resort is so vast you could stay there without going anywhere else and honestly say you know Cost Rica. The waterfall within the property was breathtaking, you get to it via a beautiful walk via the forest. There are 2 suspending bridges, lots of well marked walks and the births are. amazing.

A beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. Value for money. Spacious and well cared for. We drove to the look out point which was worth it (not sure walking in the heat would be worth it.) Very good selection at breakfast.
