We needed a good rest to break up our journey from UK to Scandinavia. This was the perfect spot. Set in a beautiful green countryside we enjoyed dinner by sunset and then had a rest in a quiet place. It was also perfect for walking our dog, plenty of open space around.

This is a fantastic place! The swimming pool with the view is unbelievably impressive. The photos cannot prove the real beauty, comfort, the view, especially the design and atmosphere of the SPA area. The breakfast was very tasty, with a great choice of foods and drinks. We definitely recommend it to people who would like to relax and enjoy their time. We will come back for many times!

The Great North is a true gem! The revamped interior is stunning, from rooms to restaurant, with beautiful decor in every corner, impressive photography on the walls, and gorgeous lighting fixtures - truly reminiscent of the most stylish hotels in metropolitan cities. The gardens are gorgeous, the staff warm and welcoming, and even our 6-year-old felt at home everywhere. Dinner was delicious with the right variety of tasty, locally-sourced dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a feast — fresh, diverse, including a juice maker and cooked-to-order eggs. Our beds were super comfortable, even the fold-out one for our daughter. The indoor walkway to the thermal baths was a welcome convenience, and we had a great time playing in the water and relaxing at the exceptional sauna & spa. Stylish, friendly, and perfectly relaxing, with exceptional attention to every detail — we’ll be back!
