Booked very last minute but the host was so helpful and accommodating. it's located in a nice neighborhood and the building is very modern with secure parking for our motorcycle. This is behind a high gate and electric fence. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The shower is lovely and hot and high pressure, one of the best we've had in Ecuador. It was only an overnight stop for us but it was very restful. Only feedback would be the checkout time is early at 10am. Most our at least 11am. Also it's needs some thicker curtains in the bedrooms as the street lights remain on all night.

Absolute superb service. Had problems on the road with our car, arrived with a 5 hrs delay after 1am. Despite this, the owner was extremely helpful and kind, was very responsive and flexible. Went beyond normal by organizing a mechanic to come to the apartment and repair our car right in the morning. Can only recommend, super nice people , clean , spacy apartment, silent , safe neighbourhood at a super price.

This place is just simply splendid. It's a real gem. Great bed, great shower. Towels all superclean and fluffy. Breakfast was amazing. The whole place is just really well thought through. Attention to details in everything. And don't get me started about the dreamy smell of the rosemary and lavender in the garden... Truly amazing. Don't look any further. The guesthouse was really beautiful and comfy. It was clean and tidy and it had hot water (something that is not to be taken for granted in Ecuador). The kitchen was super spacious and well equipped and the view from the balcony exceptional. The location was also really good, close to the city center and not far from the bus terminal. Also, the people that run the house were really friendly, polite and helpful. We actually changed a couple of hostels while in Cuenca cause they didn't meet our expectations (like hot water for example) and we found this one to be a perfect fit. Bella Vista is definitely a place to go back to if ever again in the city.

Wilmer and his team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. They were very kind, attentive and thoughtful, and even helped my friend to find a special medical device. Casa Montalvo is located in the beautiful old town of Cuenca, making it easy to explore the surrounds on foot. The breakfasts were delicious, and different each day. The courtyard garden is lovely. 100% recommend.
