Where do I even start...it was AMAZING! The staff first and foremost were brilliant, starting with Sarah, who welcomed me with a huge smile and means to help in any way she could (like having my room ready a bit earlier than check in time or going through all there is to know about my staying), and then there was the lovely Allison at breakfast, so cheerful and sunny. I felt real love for the job from these two. The rest of the crew I didn't meat unfortunately. The room that I got was H-U-G-E and absolutely perfect in style and comfort. Bed was big and very comfy, the heating was just right, felt like home. Can't praise enough. That's exactly the way I would like all the hotels or RBNBs to be like.

Very cosy, clean studio; 10 min walk from amazing pub (top 10 in Britain). Area is very nice and close to Bakewell and other spots. Loved the sheep theme, it was very cute. Self check in was very easy.

From the moment I booked the team at Merchants Yard went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Nothing was a problem for them, organising flowers as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, booking a table for dinner, offering advice on things to do near by and much much more. On check in the team were brilliant, friendly welcome and a complimentary drink (thank you). Throughout our stay the team were amazing, always happy and made sure we had everything we needed.     The hotel is very quaint. It's old and charming. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent, which was a surprise for a hotel that is quite out of the way. There is walk from the back of the hotel up a hill and well worthwhile. The back garden area is lovey. Good bathrooms. Parking across the road.
