The place is conveniently located just 150 metres from the main road in a quiet cul-de-sac. We stayed in a family room with three beds, it was spotless and big. There are three rooms in the house , they share a communal room with a sofa and fireplace, with a panoramic window looking at a couple of towers just 20 meters away- quite a romantic feature-, with a beautiful panorama over the valley. As I remember , the beds were very comfy, and overal , we had a great experience. Thanks to Anuka for having us!

He was even our horse riding guide — we rode to the Shkhara Glacier. The amenities in the house are varied and suitable for all kinds of people. The family welcomed us very dearly, also helped with the taxi to getting into Ushguli and outside. The dinners are so so so good (especially home made yoghurt, home made cheese and khachapuri). We felt very welcomed and safe. Nothing problematic, everything can be arranged. Also very good location to leave to the hiking trail above Ushguli and it is really not far away from the center of Ushguli. Babi's English is perfect, so the communication is great (she is an excellent hostess). This is a very good option for a very good price. I really recommend staying here! :)

I had a lovely stay at Nora's Guesthouse. Located at the top of Ushguli, you can look onto the Greater Caucasus mountains from the front doorstep on clear mornings, with the monastery in the foreground. The breakfast was fantastic and the best value of all the guest houses I stayed in. It is a true working farm, so the eggs come from the chickens and the cheese from the cows that get milked each evening when they bring themselves home from the mountain pastures. The big black guard dog is super friendly and they have a horse you can rent to take you to the glacier.

I have very mixed feelings. On one hand, the accommodation was very good considering you are in a very remote location. When we asked about renting horses, it was organized very quickly, though we were not informed that we will only get 20 minutes on the glacier, considering that one way from the "parking" up to the glacier takes ~50 minutes. As a result, we had to do the same trip by car on the next day, to get the complete experience.

It is a beautiful wooden building with a good location. The breakfast was delicious, the bread and diary products were made locally here. Car parking was very easy.
