The owners were so kind and honest. I arrived at the place early in the morning before check in time, but he picked me up at the bus terminal and made me use the room. On the check out day, I could wait the bus time in their place and even use shower after checkout time. First he proposed the plan with a guide but after knowing my trip is a student-low-budget one, he kindly advised my trip. I do recommend this place.

Ibrah was an absolutely amazing host. He couldn’t do enough for us. The place was spotless, the breakfast was huge and room were perfect! It felt like a real family home in Toraja! Yacob, Yansen, Mama Tia and the rest of the family were amazing in their hospitality. Their homestay is simple and rustic but is also very homely. The rooms are very clean with a nice inside communal area as well as a very nice verandah where you can sit and appreciate the view of the neighbouring fields and ponds. If you are used to and looking for luxury comfort, then this is probably not the place for you, but if you appreciate simplicity and character then it is. Yacob and Yansen also provide guiding services which I would highly recommend They will tailor the tour to what the guests want to see. I would highly recommend visiting the funeral ceremonies with Yacob/Yansen. They provide a lot of good local insights. Also, staying at Mama Tia's was great because the communal areas encourage mingling with the other guests. While I we there, I met 3 French couples, a French and a German girl. I travelled with a few of these people north to the Bunaken Islands and Gorontalo. Thanks to Mama Tia's that I made such good friends.

We had a great time at Villa Bait Lino, Lukas and his family are very nice people and invested to make you spend a good time. The place is beautiful, you sleep just in front of the rices fields and the mountains. I absolutely recommend this place to discover the toraja culture. Also i would recommand Marco as a guide to help you discover Toraja, he is a very nice person, commited to his work and he'll tell you everything you need to know about the toraja culture.

Amazing stay at Nuansa Homestay! Aldhi, the owner, and his family are lovely, they have helped us from the very beginning to the last moment: picking up us at 5 am, getting a local guide in Toraja, driving us to have dinner, helping to book the bus tickets to Tentena, and more. The accommodation was a traditional Toraja house, simple but very clean and well-preserved, making our experience feel authentic. If you are looking for wonderful accommodation in Rantepao, stop searching, Aldhi's homestay is definitely the place to be!

Had an amazing stay. The breakfast pancakes were supertasty, the hostess and her father were very kind and made good suggestions how to get around. If you have gotten so far to consider going Toraja - definitely do it! The region is amazing and this is definitely a very good option for staying at least a couple of nights.

The room and all facilities are really clean, we enjoyed the breakfast every morning, location is good only a short drive to the main road and quiet location. The bed was really comfy and good shower pressure. The best part was our hosts, Bella and her parents! Such lovely people it felt like we were a part of their family; they took care of us so well and were so welcoming. Felt right at home. Thank you!!
