Marie, the boss :-). Helped us with everything and made us feel at home. Kindness embodied. Extra spacious rooms. Bathroom very large. Common room with fridge/bar. Great breakfast. After an Irish breakfast Marie gave us her house-made scones for underway !

My girlfriend and I had a sudden change of plans and Cathy arranged everything for us to check-in one day earlier at 2am. It's nice to meet people like her and her husband in life. The place was very comfortable and spacious. Beautiful neighborhood and really close to Athlone. It was very easy to use the fire stove and they left us a guide with suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc. We loved it!

The B&B is located in a quiet area of Athlone. Easy walking distance to the Centre. Many restaurants or pubs nearby. I can also recommend the local brewery Dead Centre Brewing. You can sit outside with river view. The bear tastes great. The hosts of the Riverdale House gave us many recommendations. Both are very friendly, open minded and helpful. Extremely nice people. The choice for breakfast is great and tastes extremely good. The whole place is lovely decorated and furnished. I wish we had planned a longer stay there. Parking on the spot.
