Everything you read in the other reviews is true! To me, Vivek is the most helpful and kindest person I met in this trip and I won't forget him! he went out of his way to help me. As to the accomodation: The room is clean, the bed comfortable and although it's near the highway, it is quiet at night. I can warmly recommend Karippals Inn!

The family and staff running Kumarakom Wood Castle are just the sweetest. Every meal was really tasty and plentiful. The owner and her son gave lots of good advice on things to do in the area, and helped with arranging the bookings. Location is very convenient, near places to get a boat on the backwaters and to cross Vembanad lake. My room with private bathroom was spacious and clean. Kumarakom Wood Castle is the perfect place to stay for anyone wanting to experience the serenity of the backwaters.

This place looks like paradise! We had an amazing stay, but sadly we had to leave too soon. The property was even more beautiful than expected, with high attention to details. The owners were exceptional. They could not have been more attentive hosts. The location is wonderful, fronting on to a backwater leading to the lake. Its a tranquil spot, perfect for bird and boat watching. Traditional Keralan Breakfast with a few additions like toast and omelette and coffees were delivered to the seating area in front of each room.
