Absolutely amazing. The accommodation is beautiful, set next to the lake and mountains. Perfect views and magical sunset/sunrise. The dinner was one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also delicious. Truly a wonderful property and would highly highly recommend.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Great location - the bus to Seyðisfjörður stops right in their parking lot, if you're taking the ferry to Faroe Islands/Denmark. Nice facilities, comfortable beds.

The check-in was seamless and we got a very spacious room. The bed was very comfortable & there were definitely sufficient showers for the number of guests. The kitchen was well equipped & clean. The Hostel comes with a very big parking lot, I can only recommend staying here.

We are group of family (6 people) and booked 2 triple rooms which they managed the room to be closed as requested. The triple rooms have 2 levels (2 beds on the first floor and the other one on the second floor) which is really lovely. There are big windows to see the view which is different between first and second floor. The view from the room is beautiful. There are a lot of parking lot available, and we can temporarily park near the building to bring our luggages down first. The checkin and checkout process is easy.

Beautiful location outside if town. Clean and very quiet place. Great view from the property and our room! They marked a beautiful walking path on the property that had waterfalls on it. Delicious breakfast, they had fresh homemade bread and cake, my children said it was the best breakfast in our Iceland’s trip. 24 hours coffee and tea free of charge. Free parking.
