Definitely a memorable experience and would even dare to say, a mandatory stop on your Icelandic roadtrip. Not only was the breakfast the best food we had in Iceland with a great variety of fresh dishes, the location of the hotel is unique (our room had a view to the lush green mountains that are incredibly scenic), the staff was extremely kind and attentive (with a special shout out to the Portuguese gentleman) and facilities makes you stay for a longer period of time (i.e., Spa, thermal baths, ice showers and relaxation rooms overlooking the glaciers and giving an great sense of calmness and relaxation). This was the comfiest bed I slept in on my trip to Iceland! They had a cute very friendly dog. There are horses too. The rooms were large and clean. Unfortunately I didn’t see the northern lights but it would be the perfect location for it. There are four rooms and two bathrooms. A cute kitchen where there is everything you need to make meals. They also provide a restaurant recommendation on the paper in the guest house.
