This was by far our favorite stay in Iceland. Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Everything is new, cozy decor. Since we were staying 2 nights, we even managed to do our laundry. Definitely recommend and would book again.

Cottage in the middle of nowhere, nice connection to nature all around, peace and quiet (apart from the elements, mainly wind). Extremely good views and good chances to see the northern lights when the sky is clear! Well equipped, quite clean but a bit older in terms of furniture. Very nicely decorated though, cozy and very warm inside. Hot tubs are the icing on the cake! Perfect getaway from touristy locations on iceland.

Perfectly equipped home, very comfortable and clean. We stayed for four nights in the low season and had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other guests. We even saw the northern lights from the hot tub on our first night! Checking in was easy with the key box, we didn’t see our host but she provided us with all the necessary information and they cleared out the garbage every day. We had a great time here and would definitely be coming back when we’re in the area again.

Such a cute little cabin and felt more spacious than the photos looked! We saw the northern lights going outside to round the back and looking north, and the owner was very sweet and attentive going out of her way to help our comfort and bring some extra pillows as we struggle to sleep with only one so that was very kind and it was very windy, it was very snowy around but the roads were manageable with 4x4 and lovely views around, good shower good firm beds, nice bedding, great mini fridge and freezer option good oven/ hob, kitchen was good with lots of utensils to use, very warm and cosy and peaceful and private, we liked having a tv, it has smart access too, WiFi was great, the supermarket closes at 7pm bear this in mind as we didn’t 😅

This is a place I will remember for the rest of my life. I came back home and cannot stop thinking about it. I’ve already recommended it to many of my friends and am honestly dreaming of going there again for a longer stay. The place is truly special — the location, the proximity to nature, the respect and care for the environment, and the memorial and history of the owners and the site. The hospitality and communication were wonderful; I felt truly welcomed and cared for. If you want to experience the REAL Iceland and spend time far away from crowded tourist spots, in a peaceful and unique house from the 1930s, surrounded by animals and mesmerizing landscapes, this is the place for you. You should keep in mind that there is a gravel road in good condition leading to the location, 20 km long, and you’ll be greeted by horses and even a reindeer! You’ll need to bring everything you need with you, as there are no shops nearby. But this is exactly what makes the place so spectacular. All this information is clearly stated when you read about the place, so there were no surprises for us. I truly hope to visit again someday.
