A beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!

A comfortable basic pension. Clean, small rooms with bathroom. Breakfast was very tasty, a good choice of bread, skyr, yoghurt, meat etc. Good coffee. Very nice personnel. The guesthouse is remotely located and the is no grocery store nearby, one need to take it into consideration.

It is a nice and cozy room in a peaceful place with a great view on surroundings. The owner contacted us to make sure we found the place and we were safe and satisfied. The view from the room is great. It is well equipped with frigo, toaster and microwave and also hairdryer. The electric stove in our cabin was a little small to easily cook but i think if you choose this location, you're not there to spend your time cooking.

It was a spacious and well situated property. It was very clean and had all the amenities like a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, cooking equipment etc. Niels was very easy to reach and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Hjarðarholt, Mirror Suite is a holiday home surrounded by views of the mountain.

Isabelle and Marat are exemplary hosts and couldn’t have been more charming. The suite itself was exceptional in design and comfort and a great deal of thought had gone into the detail - beautiful linens and robes, well equipped kitchen and my favourite Skandinavisk toiletries. After some quite energetic salmon fishing it was wonderful to wind down at this wonderful suite, easing tired limbs in the sauna (with exceptional views) and falling into the most comfortable bed to dream about the lax! Here we could really enjoy Icelandic life with a lot of sheep around. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, The owner is super friendly , the house is clean and has a nice design. We had a beautiful landscape view from the room if there is a good aurora forecast this is a great place to see it. Felt like at home. They are also selling icelandic sweaters for an affordable price.

Guðrún prepared everything with exceptional care and her warmth simply fills up the whole place. Right from the start she provided us with many travel tips and home-cooked dinner so delicious, that we fondly remember it even after completing the whole trip. The staff were attentive and the owner was gracious with warm and inviting hospitality, making you feel like family. The fish and lamb dishes were made with local ingredients and presented beautifully. The desserts were made with locally sourced ingredients too. A great incentive was the hot bath right outside of the hotel, within a pastoral and rural setting. We will be coming back again. Very generous and warm place.
