Altarocca is a beautiful place to stay while visiting Orvieto. The rooms are super comfortable and clean and the views are incredible. The spread at breakfast is varied. The restaurant produces excellent well presented meals accompanied by superb wines. The spa is an experience not to be missed. At every point the staff were very friendly and curtious. This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Giorgia, the host and owner, is incredibly sweet and makes you feel right at home - it felt more like staying at her own house than a hotel. She even drove us to town and back the night we arrived. The rooms were beautifully decorated with antique furniture and had a well-stocked minibar. The garden and pool were lovely and relaxing, and it was easy to walk into town through her beautiful garden and the nearby escalators. You simply have to visit this place — it deserves more than a ten! I can’t wait to come back someday.

We loved learning about the history of this incredible home! The location can't be beat as it sits overlooking the historical town of Orvieto, only a short drive away. There is another beautiful, historical town that sits on a hilltop only accessible by foot bridge called Civita, another must-see. There is so much to see and do in the area, including cave tours. If you'd rather a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy the surroundings, this is the place for you! There is a beautiful pool and hot tub, a patio area as well as an outdoor sitting area for those warmer days. There is a lovely area inside to curl up and wat h TV or read if you wish, and the bedroom is gorgeous, filled with amazing history with original 18th-century charm still in place.

My friend and I stayed one night at Casa Vespina and honestly didn’t want to leave. Tucked away in nature near Civita di Bagnoregio, this place feels like something out of a dream—especially under the moonlight. The room was beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail. It had that perfect balance of cozy and stylish that makes you instantly feel at home. We were greeted by a super friendly dog who instantly won us over, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming— And breakfast? Let’s just say the homemade chocolate cake alone is worth the trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-immersed escape with warm hospitality and beautiful vibes, Casa Vespina is it. One night wasn't enough!

Upon arrival it was raining and I had an automobile. It is not easy to find your way around in a car, easy on foot, if you're not familiar in the town. I had to park somewhere and make it to the condo on foot. The host are waiting, very welcoming, super helpful, and then drove me around a path I would have never found to get my mom in the car. Then we followed them all the way around another way which I wouldn't have figured out easily to a parking area by the main Cathedral that was very close. The location was great, the place is fantastic, it smells amazing.

There was very quick communication, the apartment was immaculately cleaned, tea and coffee provided with breakfast snacks (so appreciated!), and Emanuele and Sabrina were the most gracious hosts. Each room had doors you could open for breeze and they all had screens, something I have never seen before in Italy and were very much appreciated. It was a straight 15 minute walk to the train and funicular station; the COOP grocery store is 5 minutes in the other direction. The bed and pillows are very typical of Italy, a little harder than Americans are used to but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and implements for cooking. There is a high chair and crib for those with babies. Loved it!!!

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and in a great location with the bonus of a cute little balcony. Very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. Our room had a sofa bed for my daughter which Valentina kindly made up for us before we arrived. Nice quiet street but close (easy walking distance) to everything. Would definitely stay here the next time I’m in Orvieto. They can also provide secure parking nearby.

The place is way better than the pics! Everything is really nice and the apartment is very well decorated. The picture doesn’t do justice. The location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk to the long term parking lot where you can park for 12 EUR a day and 5-10 minutes walking to everywhere you need to go, tourist sites and grocery stores!

The rooms were nice and well equipped. Modern bathroom. It seems like it was renovated yesterday. A coffee machine is available. It is located in the historical part of the city, close to all important attractions. They have their own parking lot. You get detailed directions to access their house. I can give it a 10 without any doubts.

Great stopover straight off the A1 just to break our journey. Free parking in large car park right outside. Beds were comfy. Staff were nice. Fair selection for breakfast buffet - just cold not hot.
