The best Japanese breakfast that we have had. Lovely owners. A variety of teas and coffee provided. Good bike storage. Very handy for train to Koyasan. Good bakery opposite. Great yakitori restaurant nearby.

Staff was extremely helpful and was smiling all the time. The breakfast was abundant - and had specialties every day. The public bath was nice also. They also had an option to NOT have daily cleaning of the room. So the environmental awareness / effort of the hotel is good.

This 150-year-old historical building, offers a charming blend of tradition and modern comfort for a memorable stay. Shogo, the owner, was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my stay. He went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Not only did he provide excellent recommendations for local restaurants, but he also made reservations on my behalf. The location was nice and easy to find if you go by a car, with the added bonus of having an onsen and a supermarket nearby. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed two nights at Nanten-En and everything was incredible. The location is super calm. You can enjoy silence and a nice walk around. The service was incredible, everyone was kind. The meals were beautifully prepared and delicious. I truly recommend it for the experience. I will make sure to go back during my next trip to Japan. Thank you so much !!
