Where do I even start? We had a wonderful time at Villa Shachihoko and we wish we had stayed more than 2 nights. The house is, if possible, even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. Very comfortable beds and the decoration is just wow. I think you could spend hours just admiring and enjoying the house itself(and the snacks that the host so thoughtfully had prepared). Warm and welcoming host who was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. You simply could not ask for a better host. Lots to see and do in the area; we highly recommend the Okawachiyama pottery Village and the breathtaking viewpoint near the house. We are very grateful to have found Shachihoko and would absolutely love to come back. 11 out of 10 stars⭐️

It was a great experience to stay the night in the middle of this remote village and feel and enjoy the creativity and calmness in the air. I felt very welcome at the Lodge. The place is very comfortable and homely and there is a lot of space. I recommend staying here to anybody interested in pottery and willing to take the time to explore. I travelled here using public transport, which was no issue. Additionally the hosts are very kind and knowledgeable – I enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know their story and more about the region. Additionally Gilles introduced me to one of the master potters of the village who kindly gave me a tour of his workshops. This made my stay unforgettable!

Amazing place, we stayed 3 nights as basecamp to visit the surrounding area. All installations were clean and brand new. Rooms were spacious and well-equipped. Shared space in the top floor with kitchen was amazing. Nice bathroom with bath and washing machine.

Good location but to get there from station is a bit annoying as you need to go around as there is no direct crossing. So you are wasting extra time going around but that city problem and hotel fault. Hotel is great. The usual old fashioned business hotel. Staff were great. I skiped breakfast so not sure about it. I want tried the hotsping either but not sure if if it is tatoo friendly tbh.. I had good stay overall. Wished my room was a little but higher though. 2nd floor is a bit low.

We stood for an hour in the rain trying to get in. The QR code I was sent was corrupted and wouldn't load. I tried calling the number I had but it wouldn't work. I tried using email but the connection was spotty and when it did connect, it was very slow. There was no way to get into the apartment and the whole thing is obviously nothing but AI, since I've gotten an email asking how I liked my stay, even though "they" have already replied that they will not refund my money. I don't know how long I was expected to wait outside in the rain to get the information to get in but I left after an hour of trying.
