Fantastic accommodation. So great having the entire building to ourselves. So many little touches to add to the ambience. Thoroughly recommended Minshuku Suhara to others. Was very easy to access on public transport after we finished walking the Nakasendo Way from Magome to Tsumago.

We really enjoyed camping midway through our Japan trip! The campground is well set up and we had everything we needed to ensure a cozy stay. They provided sleeping bags in addition to regular bedding since it was a cold night (on top of heaters). They also have a lot of kitchen items for use which was fun to choose from! The addition of the deck and foot onsen during sunset was spectacular! The food that we arranged was great! We would stay here again.

Rey n Hero were very kind, the pick up service is great, Hostel common area is spacious, relax n comfortable. We travel in the rainy off peak season, shop close at 5pm n only 1-2 restaurants opens near station. Staying in the Hostel for Breakfast n dinner maybe a good option after a long day hike.

Very friendly Staff, well organized, the „capsules“ Are actually quite roomy and the Futon-like beds are quite comfy. Enjoy a nice break in the big old gymnasium.

A recently renovated property, 峠のお宿 巧の実家 Magome Guest House, Along the Nakasendo Trail is situated in Nakatsugawa near Magome Observatory, Magome Wakihonjin Museum and Toson Memorial Museum.

Akiko is a wonderful host she surprised us with ice cream. The kids loved the roomy apartment and having their own room. This was a wonderful place to stay run by wonderful people. We had a kitchen to make a meal at home something we were missing.

Amazing experience. Beautiful traditional Japanese house in a small town in the middle of the mountains. Every house item is crazy cool and beautiful. The owner has thousands of good records and will do a selection for you. Bed are comfortable. The level of attention to every single detail - from lighting to coffee or snacks - is beyond everything I have experienced. My only regret is not to have stayed longer to chat a bit more with Takashi - the music passionate who has the house and the amazing little cafe next door - to get to know him better. For sure a super interesting and lovely host!

My favorite accommodation in Japan. The house is beautiful, spotless, peaceful.. I found myself wanting to live there haha. And the host is super friendly and kind. He recommended an awesome place to have dinner, he drove me and the other guest to Magome so we could do the trail, AND he got me an adaptor that I was missing because mine didn't work. I was very grateful.
