This Ryokan is phenomenal. - Breakfast and dinner, exceptional. Probably the greatest thing we like about the Ryokan. - The room, it was amazing, clean and tidy - We only used the private onsen (which is first come first serve basis, no booking required), temperature is just right with great view once you opened the window.

Absolutely fantastic. This was a big splurge for us, and to be honest we were quite nervous about the cost. As soon as we arrived the service was amazing. The room is beautiful, the hot spring as well. The evening meal was the best we had in Japan, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff attentive and kind. Simply put, if you’re like us and treating yourself - don’t hesitate to book this place, it was one of the best experiences we had in the Japan.

Amazing location, wonderful atmosphere! Very clean and well prepared, we were left snacks and drinks by the host and felt so excited and welcome there. Amazing value for money too, would definitely recommend staying here! The walk into the centre of town is about half an hour because of the very steep hill leading down to the house which you have to walk up to get out, but it is not any reason not to stay here if that’s feasible for you.

Very friendly staff. Our coordinator spoke both English and Japanese so easy to communicate. Onsen water was very good and relaxing. Meals were very good. Location next to historic stone steps for easy access to shopping and temple. Room had nice peaceful view of mountain range.

Located just next to Ikanho steps. Owner was helpful to drive our car from the open car park down the hill into the hotel’s sheltered car park making it easy and convenient on check out day.

Stay View Ikaho was an extremely comfortable, clean and spacious stay for two in the heart of the famous Ikaho onsen town. If you want to explore Ikaho and surrounding mountains I can’t recommend this accommodation more highly. Check in / out was smooth, view was stunning, was very quiet and beds were very comfortable. Parking was free and always available throughout our stay.

It has a big parking lot. There's a convenience store right across the street. The restaurant there was nice, with good food (both for breakfast and dinner), but take care that it is closed on Sundays (just for dinner).
