We booked this hotel is to experience a typical Japanese culture including the dinner and breakfast and we certainly were not disappointed. The setting of the hotel, room, dinning area and the onsen are ready impressive. The staff is very friendly, and we enjoyed the stay very much.

The Hotel has everything you need and more. The staff is really friendly and they really try explain you everything even if they don't speak a lot English. But with translation app, communication was no problem. You can also book Shihatsu-Massages directly at the hotel at a fair price which was extremely relaxing. In combination with the several Onsens, the Marimine constitutes a perfect base to explore the greater Aizu area. Note that having a car avaliable is helpful to get around as buses don't run too frequently.

This is a Japanese traditional hotel. The hosts are very friendly and try to help all the time. Although it is sometimes not easy to communicate in English, but they tried their best to understand us and also express themselves. Actually with Google Translator there is no communication issues anymore. My room is the one with private bathroom but still I can use the big bath outside the room, which is very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast are wonderful!! I would be very happy to stay here next time if I visit this city again.

Lovely apartment. Met at the door by the host who was very responsive to messages. Great space upstairs but completely separate from hosts home on the ground floor. Very well located with easy walk to castle and other main sites. Warm, clean and with ability to prepare and share food. Would definitely stay again.

This place is incredible. The taste, the care, the quality, all was amazing. Had I known before how good it was, I would have booked a longer stay. This is a reconstructed old japanese house. But it is done with such care, that you can feel it. It is quiet and beautiful. The kitchen has basic conditions, but there was enough to season a salad. I really felt there was care and thoughfulness all around.

Breakfast is excellent. So many type and variety of food. nice display and service. Onsen on 10 floor is nice and less crowded ( specially in the morning) than other hotels.
