very good location as you can see from the picture, the hostel provides good food, as it’s not very easy to eat out in here, I stayed in the yurt but it’s definitely not cold at night, the landlady speaks good English which is o helpful

We were traveling around Issyk-Kul Lake with our three young children, searching for a quiet and beautiful place to stay. When I came across Taberik, I was initially hesitant — the place had no reviews, and traveling with kids, comfort is our top priority. But the location looked so stunning that I decided to take a chance. And I’m so glad I did — Taberik exceeded all our expectations. We were warmly greeted by Meyrambek, the owner, who welcomed us with tea and cookies and shared that they had just opened for their very first season. The entire place is brand new and built with great attention to detail. The setting is breathtaking: nestled at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by untouched nature, with yurts and cozy cabins scattered across the land. The cabins have heating, hot water, and high-speed internet via Starlink, which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. The interiors are thoughtfully designed — wooden furniture, natural materials, spotless cleanliness, and a cozy atmosphere. You can immediately feel that a lot of care, resources, and investment went into creating this place. We passed by several other guesthouses along the way, and honestly, none of them came close to Taberik. It’s truly a different level of comfort and beauty. There’s also a stunning waterfall nearby, adding to the magic of the place. This location touched my heart so deeply that I couldn’t resist writing this review — and I don’t do that often. The hosts, Erkin and his family are so great, they welcome me with the additional dinner and tea. Erkin's family will make you not lonely if you're traveling alone. This family have made me known more about Kyrgystan. The guesthouse is near the center of Karakol in walking distance. If I have a chance to go to Karakol again, this is definitely my accommodation. Strongly recommend for this guesthouse..

Good location. Helpful owner - washing machine was not working and he came to fix it first thing the next day. Comfortable for a group of 4.

An incredibly welcoming and friendly place to stay. Rooms are large and very pleasant, with comfy beds. Being able to leave bags while you go into the mountains for some days is super helpful too. Great hospitality!

Nice place, good people, relaxed atmosphere. The best place on the South side of Issyk Kul. Stay here for rest and getting information for your next destination. I highly recommend this place.
