We were traveling around Issyk-Kul Lake with our three young children, searching for a quiet and beautiful place to stay. When I came across Taberik, I was initially hesitant — the place had no reviews, and traveling with kids, comfort is our top priority. But the location looked so stunning that I decided to take a chance. And I’m so glad I did — Taberik exceeded all our expectations. We were warmly greeted by Meyrambek, the owner, who welcomed us with tea and cookies and shared that they had just opened for their very first season. The entire place is brand new and built with great attention to detail. The setting is breathtaking: nestled at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by untouched nature, with yurts and cozy cabins scattered across the land. The cabins have heating, hot water, and high-speed internet via Starlink, which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. The interiors are thoughtfully designed — wooden furniture, natural materials, spotless cleanliness, and a cozy atmosphere. You can immediately feel that a lot of care, resources, and investment went into creating this place. We passed by several other guesthouses along the way, and honestly, none of them came close to Taberik. It’s truly a different level of comfort and beauty. There’s also a stunning waterfall nearby, adding to the magic of the place. This location touched my heart so deeply that I couldn’t resist writing this review — and I don’t do that often. Staying at the karakol yurt village is an incredible experience. The hosts are a very friendly and kind Kyrgyz family, who not only provide an incredible stay, but make an effort to get to know their guests and offer them experiences in the Kyrgyz mountains. The food is fantastic - locally sourced ingredients and homemade Kyrgyz meals make for an amazing experience. I highly recommend staying here while/before trekking in Karakol!

How can I even describe a stay this perfect? Imagine enjoying a homecooked breakfast prepared by the Ordo owners daily, just for you. Every morning, it's different: fried eggs sunny side up with sausage one time; crepes stuffed with crumbly cottage cheese another; oats generously topped with dried fruit and walnut the next day. Then, nourished and itching to explore, you go out. The city lies wide open before you, cradled by snow-capped mountains on all sides. Each generous treasure of Karakol, from the Dungan Mosque to the glorious Orthodox Church, to the ethnographic museum detailing the breathtaking history of the region, is within arm's each and walking distance. (And if you ever get famished, the immaculate ashlan-fu is just five minutes away on foot.) We were fully prepared to have a 10/10 time in Karakol. Ordo Hotel made our trip 11/10.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The service was outstanding, and the owners were incredibly helpful and generous. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained. Highly recommended!

Ludmilla is a very nice host taking care of her guests. We came late and tired and the processes were easy. We had wonderful 2 days in this original guest house being then farewelled warmly.

A really amazing place. I have never slept in a tent in a larger room. So it was actually a dorm where everybody had his own privacy in his tent. And this for a good price. The place was very clean. All the day free coffee and tea included. Maxim and Kirill, they owners weree very helpful and gave me much advice. Thank you to them.

The location was great, it was really well equipped with anything you might need - plugs by beds, well equipped kitchen, drying rack, etc.
