Auyrvedic treatments were ideal to relax.

Our recent three-day stay at Shangri-La Hotel Hambantota in Sri Lanka was simply extraordinary. Despite the 3-hour journey from the airport, arriving at this remarkable hotel made every minute worth it. From the moment we stepped into this expansive paradise, we were met with exceptional service and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The variety of activities and leisure options available were impressive—whether relaxing by the adults-only pool, enjoying the state-of-the-art gym, or simply exploring the expansive grounds, there was never a dull moment. Walking through the beautifully maintained golf course was an absolute delight, as we encountered numerous stunning animals in their natural habitat, adding an enchanting touch to our stay. On our last day, we discovered the Ulpatha Clubhouse, which provided an amazing experience and a fantastic atmosphere to relax and enjoy sports at their finest. Dining at Bojunhala restaurant was a highlight of our experience. Without exaggeration, it offered the best food we had in Sri Lanka—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to the outstanding staff who consistently went above and beyond. The manager, Tharindi, was exceptionally attentive, ensuring our stay was perfect in every detail. Our housekeeper, Rohana, provided impeccable service—always efficient, attentive, and friendly. Moreover, the pool bar staff made our relaxing afternoons truly enjoyable. The vastness of the property offers something special for everyone, making it an ideal destination for both adults and families with children. The sense of space and tranquility is unmatched, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout. We highly recommend Shangri-La Hambantota for an unforgettable Sri Lankan experience. I had an exceptional stay at the guesthouse! The family managing it is incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms were surprisingly comfortable considering the affordable price. Every detail was thought of, and cleanliness was exemplary. Every was perfect. A small paradise!!

Our stay was beyond amazing. Our room was brand new and the pool was really nice. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the manager and his family were outstanding hosts. They tried to really make us feel at home and this was definitely the best stay of our holiday.

This hotel has procured a great hospitality and created a unique experience for us. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms elegant and well appointed, the facilities are unsurpassed, the views picturesque and the experience is unforgettable. My stay here thus far has been nothing less than remarkable. From the service to the accommodations, this resort is next level! There's a restrained elegance that radiates throughout every space within these sprawling grounds.

Cleanest huge room ever. The owner built 2 floors big rooms bungalow, so every accomodation doesn’t have direct neighbors and therefore is quite and private . The bed was king and comfortable, very big bathroom , hot water and high pressure. We slept without AC and appreciate the ceiling fan. Breakfast was great: every day something different is offered . The position is unbeatable, close to a beautiful Long Beach ( no swimming though). The owner went an extra mile to arrange a scooter , provide meeKiri and always asked if we needed anything . The surrounding area offers a large number of restaurants and cafes , very quiet st night and the lagoon is pure poetry . We are now in talalla and no comparison : we miss already SHINE.
