We chose Meena Amma's Tea Experience because we wanted to have a closer and more genuine experience with locals, and because we wanted an accommodation close to the hiking trails of the Hortons Plains. Meena was such an amazing host. She took care of us in the best way possible. She walked with us to show us the surroundings, explained to us useful tips on Sri Lankan cuisine, and cooked for us the best and most authentic meals we had in Sri Lanka. Although, we thought that her cooking was amazing, it was a little bit salty for our taste buds. The room was nicely decorated and has the convenience of a nearly a 5* standard. Highly recommended accommodation in a strategic location close to Nuwara Eliya and Horton Plains. Just beware of the entrance road to the village is not asphalted!

This was our most expensive place to stay in Sri Lanka and we did not regret single rupi :) The view, the common area, the room which has heated beds! they cook food with ingredients from their own garden which they happily show to you. they also offer us tractor tour at their fields :) we felt so noblese with the way we were treatad. At the end of out stay they also cleaned our tuktuk! so thoughtful and friendly staff!❤️

Rajith is absolutely wonderful — truly a charming and attentive host and the place is very cozy. He welcomed us with tea and biscuits and was available at all times for anything we needed. We had to leave very early the next morning, and he prepared an amazing picnic box for us to take on the road. Always with a smile, he answered all our questions and made us feel completely at home. If we ever return to Nuwara Eliya, we will definitely contact him again. Highly recommended!

We spent in this accommodation 1 night on our trip in Sri Lanka. All house is gorgeous. Amazing interior, wood everywhere and style. Rooms were very clean with a tea plantation view. Staff was friendly. Very calm place. It was in the mountains so there was a cold weather but in Atulya they had a heated mattress. High reccomend this place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Amazing Experience at Matara Ambula Resort! I recently stayed at Matara Ambula Resort and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect — peaceful, close to nature, and just a short drive to the beach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a touch of Sri Lankan charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The food was a highlight — fresh, local, and full of flavour. I especially loved the traditional Sri Lankan meals they served. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the South Coast. Will definitely visit again!
