We love the beauty and calmness. Quiet. Birdsong and bird watching. Frogs at night chirping. Lovely simple design of the rooms looking out to simple gardens and trees full of nesting birds. From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. Everything. Really good accomodation. Clean & super comfortable. Sanjay was a great host. His cooking was fantastic at dinner & breakfast. Organised Lion beer for us which was real +.He arranged for a tuk tuk driver to take us to the ancient city within minutes of our arrival. In addition a taxi next day to our next stop off. As per usual in Sri Lanka always a smile & such friendliness. Overall great stop off guest house. You wont be disapointed.

By far the best accomodation we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel is actually more a villa with only few rooms available, which makes it very private and calm. Everything about this place is stunning and one feels that every detail was thoughtfully designed. The hosts Siri and Chathurika were very friendly and made our stay something really special. Siri even gave us a private tour through the temples and ruins of Anuradhapura. It was all topped off by the fantastic food they prepared for us. Staying at Arachchi was one of the highlights of our trip, and would come back to Sri Lanka just to stay some more days :) we cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a fantastic stay at Saplumar Lodge! The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The highlight of our stay was the incredible hospitality of our host, Shan. He was always smiling, approachable, and genuinely eager to assist us. His helpful recommendations and local insights made our trip even better. Whether we needed advice on places to visit or just a friendly chat, Shan was always there to help. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great accommodation with outstanding service! Would definitely stay here again.

The Water Front Home Stay was the first accommodation of our journey through Sri Lanka. Wasa picked us up at the airport and taught us a lot about his country, people and culture during the drive. He and his wife go above and beyond to provide a pleasant stay to their guests. We had breakfast and dinner at the home stay and both were very delicious. Wasa also organized great drivers/guides to both Mihintale and the Ancient City. He also went with us to see the Dambulla Cave Temple and dropped us off at our new lodging in Sigiriya. Ayubowan Wasa, we could not have imagined a better start of our trip! :)
