The views are spectacular and we enjoyed the view all the time we were at the accommodation. Also the host family is very sweet and makes your stay very pleasant. Breakfast was big and delicious. The room with mountain view is well worth the money.

If you're lucky enough to find this place available, book it! This has been our favourite place we have stayed in all of Sri Lanka. Right from when we arrived and the staff helped us off the bus, until when we left when they packed a takeaway lunch and helped to get us to the station for our 06.30 am train. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so much fresh fruit! And the snacks and tea and coffees we were offered everytime we came home was such fantastic hospitality. We really felt like part of the family here, and every question we had from renting scooters it getting into town was sorted out by the staff. Couldn't believe the standard of the room for the cost we paid. If we ever come back to Ella we will absolutely be staying here. Thankyou so much

The room was exactly as pictured and was the best place we stayed out of the 7 days we were in Sri Lanka. The owner went out of his way to take us around Ella and also drove us to the airport. Breakfast was delicious! Beds were very comfortable!

The family was very welcoming into their lovely property The room has stunning views It is about 2.5 km from the center of town so away from the city noises The owner helped us with tuk tuk rides to town And he also helped us for arranging transportation for some activities The breakfast was great. We absolutely LOVED “Lush in Ella”. If you are wanting to experience peaceful oasis in Ella, this is the place. The design of this unique space hits all the marks in an off the beaten path stay. A junglalow with a view of waterfall, the jungle sounds immersed in nature. The room is private, super clean and the design of the space is just perfect 🤩 it is a 10 out of 10!!! Saman and her husband were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was awesome… we are vegan and they were very accommodating. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts! 🙏❤️

I recently stayed at Hive, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best hostels I’ve experienced in my travels. The atmosphere was incredibly social and welcoming everyone was so friendly, and there were activities every night that brought people together. A special thanks to Gehan, who was super helpful with all the information I needed. Funny enough, visiting Ella wasn’t even in my original plan I came here on a friend’s recommendation but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my Sri Lanka trip. Another highlight was meeting Alex, who made the evenings extra special with fun games and a family dinner outing. Most of the games were completely new to me, which made it even more exciting to learn and join in. Everything about Hive Hostel was warm, fun, and memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ella, and I’m already looking forward to going back soon!
