It felt like a home, because the hostel had a lot of places where you could hang out. It was calm, which makes it a perfect place to stay it your doing hikes etc. The breakfast was included and it was good. The beds were the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had in a hostel. The location was good.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Spirit of the River Lodge! Nestled by the river, the lodge boasts incredible room designs and breathtaking window views that make you feel one with nature. A huge thank you to Rodi and Claudia for making our experience so unforgettable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Rodi’s tour of the Inca sites was nothing short of extraordinary—his passion and knowledge brought the history and spirit of the area to life. If you can, ask him to be your guide; you’ll gain so much insight and connection to the Sacred Valley! Claudia’s cooking was equally remarkable—each meal was a masterpiece filled with love and flavor. And, of course, we can’t forget Tupac, their adorable and friendly llama. Hugging him was such a unique and heartwarming experience! The lodge is a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and cultural immersion. To top it off, Rodi is beginning to organize Inca Trail tours with a big focus on ensuring porters are treated with the utmost care and respect. If you’re looking to explore one of the most unique places on Earth while supporting ethical practices, this is the place to start. We couldn’t recommend Spirit of the River Lodge more highly. My stay here was exceptional, mainly due to the great hospitality of the owners, who are both very warm and kind people. Romulo has a passion for history and gave me an impromptu guided tour of the very nearby Inca trail and some key sites along the way. The location is excellent, within walking distance of downtown Cuzco but above all the noise, right next to an important park with the Temple of the Moon and other historic sites. My room was large and comfortable, breakfast was great, I was given a hot water bottle every evening. Highly recommend!

We’ve been traveling around Peru for about a month, and I can say this is the best hotel we stayed across the whole country! It is exceptionally clean (this is not what Peru can boast)! The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is decent and lunch boxes are provided. If you feel cold, there’s a heater in the room, though the blanket is really warm! If you go to Machupicchu tour, you can store your suitcases in the hotel! The staff is just great!!! They communicate with you, help you, try to make you feel home! And finally, this is a very tranquil place! This is 15 min walk from Cusco city center - so there’s no noise, no traffic, if you wanna good sleep there’s a perfect fit! Walking to the city center is not that much uphill, just may be 2 small blocks up - so it’s very comfy. One more bonus - beautiful terrace with a view!

Lady Vilma is the excellent and most helpful host I have ever met, when we seriosly delay of the bus to Cusco, she updated me the status of the bus route need to change a longer road due to the original road was broke, her driver come to the bus terminal to waiting for us several times until we arrived Cusco on midnight eleven o'clock. When we arrive, Vilma was waiting for us of the entrance even heavy raining, warm welcome to us and prepare warm water and take care with us. Her house is classic and beautiful, the room and the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is nice and big. She also bring us to the train station to brought the train ticket to Machu Picchu, she is the most nice host I have met, I definitely will come back when we finish Machi Picchu visit.

The room and facilities were very clean. The breakfast was very nice. Zuzan was very helpful, for instance I had to leave the hostel before 7am for a tour so she made my breakfast beforehand. Also I needed to get to the bus station very quickly so her husband dropped me off straightaway.

Small modern hotel on a square about 10 minutes walk from the old town. The room was comfortable, and breakfast on the sixth floor (great views) was good. The hotel had secure underground parking for our motorbike with a lift. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Dani on the front desk. Oh, and joy of joys, there was a kettle in the room! All in all a very pleasant experience.

Centrally located hotel within walking distance of the main areas of Cusco. Older building complete with wood panels and creaky floorboards. Giant room and bed, which was nice. Small amount of off-street parking, but not secure.

We stayed here 22 October. The hosts were so helpful. The room clean. Lovely shower and bed. Balcony with amazing views. Kettle in room (rare in Peru) and great breakfast. Also as we had won car the underground parking was great. Highly recommend as only 15 minutes walk from main square .

Everything, especially the host. Marco helped us with everything including tips for where to go and what to see. Great breakfast. Amazing hospitality. Beautiful location surrounded by mountains. Historical site. Beautiful church 1 minute walk away. Secure parking. Quiet. Comfy bed. Very comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Hot water. Good WiFi.

We've had a lovely stay. The location is amazing, only a short walk away from Plaza Mayor. As we were travelling with our own car, the Kaaro house was one of the best possible accommodations, as they offer free parking inside their premises. The room was big and clean, with hot water and electric heater. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended, especially for people traveling with their own transportation! 👍👍👍
