Makeri Residence saved us. We were booked in an accommodation with no running water and were so happy to move to Makeri. We stayed for 1 week, happily. The rooms are very nice and well designed. Mostly importantly, they have real showers with hot water and good water pressure (they have a special pump). The property is new and beautifully isolated from the town/streets of Musanze. They have lovely staff, a washing machine, good Wi-Fi, and secure parking. They provide breakfast and dinners which were simple but nice. For the price, this place is a dream.

Nanny Service - Phoebe was amazing with the kids. We managed to go for the Gorilla Trekking with relaxed minds knowing that the children were in safe hands. The children had so much fun. They even got a tricycle to pay with all through the stay. Stefan was amazing in keeping us updated on the progress of everything. On date of check-in we were late, he did a follow up to check on our location as well as the menu we preferred for the night. When doing the trekking he kept sending us photos of the kids and nanny assuring us that all was well. Ngabo - Our great guide was kind enough to recommend to us some fun places to visit. He took us around explaining to us about the area and cultures of the people. He is a very good driver and an awesome guide. We enjoyed all the road trips with him. He was very helpful as well in helping us purchase items from the local shops. Aline and the staff team were all great to us. Very jovial and happy people. We felt safe and at home. The food, service and love was all from the heart. Where we couldn't decide on what to eat, they were very helpful in giving suggestions which we all enjoyed, especially the kids meals. Aline was kind enough to do a follow up on whether we got back home safely. We truly appreciate. Location - The resort is an awesome budget friendly location for anyone intending to visit the Volcanoes / Gorilla Trekking. Everything about Isange Paradise was beyond our expectations. We will definitely be visiting again and again as well as recommend our friends to visit.

I absolutely loved this place. Felt like home away from home. The place was quiet and spotless. Patience, the owner was very communicative, helpful and extremely friendly. There was also a kitchen to use and Patience can also prepare for you very nice meals for affordable price. Drinking water was also provided. Only 10-12 minutes walk to the centre, bus terminals, supermarkets.

I absolutely loved everything about this property. Everyone is super friendly. Even got a little gift which I have been wearing every day since. The food was delicious - big portions. There was hot water and the shower was great. I can honestly not fault a single thing. It is a really peaceful environment.

A welcoming, lovely young family who makes you immediately feel like you're staying with friends! I spent 2 lovely days with Norbert, Monique and Randa and I enjoyed getting to know them over the meals which they share with their guests. This is the sort of place you'll remember fondly months after you've left Rwanda and that's because of the wonderful people who run it, who take their time to ensure you're comfortable and happy. I also appreciated their flexibility with my ever-changing plans as they accommodated my early arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable and the house was clean and full of love. The hosts have a background in tourism so can help arrange (and guide) any activity you may want to do. It's a little gem in Musanze and you'll be so happy you chose to stay here.

The best experience! We have slept in many homestays and hotels, and nothing could surpass Virunga Homestays. We felt very much welcome here. The host was very nice and helpful, gave us many tips and prepared breakfast for us at the time we would’ve wanted to (either 6 am or 9 am, did not matter). After a very tough hike climbing the Mount Bisoke, he made us dinner: not to exaggerate, but it was the best dinner we ate so far in Rwanda. Very thankful and definitely coming back!
