Sunrise Yunqi Teahouse had such amazing views. When we arrived, the first thing we did was taking photos at the front of the hotel, instead of checking in 😂. The owner was super lovely and patiently waited for us to finish. The place was huge and clean, so was our room. The whole place was nicely decorated, with poems displayed everywhere - you can tell they put a lot of heart into this place that’s more than a hotel, but rather a show of their love of love and respect for the guests. I also highly recommend booking dinner/breakfast with them - they again put so much heart into serving us with the best possible experience. This guesthouse is such a gem and a great find on our Taiwan trip!

The host was extremely nice and accommodating. We got stuck at a bus stop down the road and he was so kind to come pick us up. He let us drop our bags off early and even offered to take us to Shizhuo for dinner. He used a translation app so everything was easily communicated

Room was nice, big and clean. Great views. Good location mid mountain about 1 hour from chiayi and another hour to Alishan scenic area, and 5 minutes walking distance to shops and some restaurants. Host was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good and fresh. Water dispenser available which was really convenient. Sunrise views were amazing from the hotel itself n a nice tea farm behind belonging to the owner.

Location is great. Around 5 minutes walk to restaurants, convenience stores and fruits/veggies stands. This location is next to to one of the Alishan famous Eryanping Trail (二延平步道) where you can just walk up to see sunrise and sea of cloud (if weather permitted). In fact, if the sky is clear, you can see the sunrise right from B&B balcony. We love the fresh air, view of tea fields and hospitality. The host was very nice and kind. The gentleman (I believe the owner's son) was super helpful. Ms. Yao (OMG, super nice lady) gave us a lot of information about Alishan. She told us different ongoing event in Alishan, what roads are safe to drive and where to get good hot spring experience in Taiwan. We were lucky to see the Sea of Cloud and visited the annual indigenous wedding event. The ladies in the kitchen made very nice delicious breakfast. We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. I highly recommend this BnB! Bye Bye Alishan for now, we will come back!

The homestay owners were really helpful and went above and beyond in terms of service! They fetched us to and fro several places at no additional charge (such as Fenqihu, Shizhuo town area) and even sent our luggage to our hotel in Alishan so we could start hiking immediately upon arriving at the recreation park. They provided recommendations for sunrise/sunset viewpoints in Shizhuo and activities in Alishan upon check-in. They can even drive you up to the sunrise/sunset viewpoint located along an uphill hiking trail, but we didn't take up the offer. The owners are happy to sit down with you for a tea-drinking session and share about their tea farming, way of life, and local F&B recommendations - that's how we ended up visiting Zou Coffee (zouzhouyuan), a cafe selling self-grown award-winning coffee. The owners also painstakingly prepared breakfast and dinner (costs NTD350 per person) and try to change up the menu every time. It's comforting and wholesome home-cooked food. Overall, we were really impressed by their generosity and friendliness!

Everything is was exceptionally nice. The room is very very comfortable, the property is beautiful and magical with all kinds of fairy lights and cute decorations. The owner and host is thoughtful and kind and very service oriented. The room feels luxurious because the owner clearly thought of all the little details that make a stay not just good, but great. The location on the mountain is beautiful.
