It was definitely one of the best stays we have had in Vietnam while travelling for a month. We have stayed only for one night but if we had more time left we would have stayed for more to relax. The room is nice and cosy and clean. We had a family dinner with locals and other travellers and it was really fun talking, also food is great, everything was delicious. Of course, the happy water helped to have such fun but we are not complaining. Be aware that it's hard to say no to happy water.

This is a great stop if you would like to break up your travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang. The facilities are clean, very important to me, and the location is a perfect halfway between cities. Family members are well versed in a few languages making communication very easy. Please take part in the family dinner offered. Moon is a wonderful host, full of warmth and care. She even picked me up and dropped me off to the busses. Ms Oanh cooked delicious vegetarian meals for me. It is quiet, welcoming and clean. There are 3 cute dogs and I even got to attend one of Moon's singing bell ceremonies. I am looking forward to coming back one day.

I recently stayed at alala and had a great experience overall. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. There is an elevator, which makes it convenient to move between floors. The space is bright with plenty of natural light. There is an indoor parking area for motorbikes, which is very safe. The location is also great, making it easy to get around. One big advantage is that the staff can speak English well, so they can provide a lot of support for foreign guests. It seems like they are targeting international customers because during my stay, most of the guests were foreigners, and I didn’t see any Vietnamese guests.

The proprietor, Michael, is a super nice, helpful guy (although English is limited, easy to communicate with). Comfortable place, even if a bit older. Well equipped. Minibar and water bottle refills a nice touch. Great location. If you are looking for a break from the beaten path, Tuyen Quang a nice reprieve.
