From the moment I arrived Christine made me feel so welcome. She had a list of things to do, where to eat and party. I just loved all the personal touches with flowers on the bed, wrapped in the towels and in a vase. Everything has old world charm and my room was upstairs with a view of the Caribbean Sea and a lovely breeze drifting through the louvre windows. The position of the hotel is perfect to walk to night clubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and the retail shopping strip. Yet is very quiet & comfortable. This hotel cares about the environment and it shows from very clear instructions with the linen to a water refill station at reception. All the staff are super friendly and everyone will go out of their way to make your stay so fabulous you will never want to leave! I wish to highly recommend the Hotel del Rio. 10 out of 10!

Tradewinds Paradise Villas is situated on the beachfront in San Pedro, 400 metres from San Pedro Beach. There is a year-round outdoor pool and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Central location, just a few steps from “downtown”. (No need for a golf cart, only if you want to go to Secret Beach) As soon as you stepped on the premises, it felt like a small slice of paradise. It is really well kept and clean. Also the apartments are huge and clean. They don’t have the modern/clean aesthetic but feel really homey. And let me tell you about the staff: They really care and help out with anything they can. They are super fast with replying and flexible. I was able to be put on to an earlier flight to the island and they re-organized a taxi and check in for me 1 hour early in the matter of minutes. I really enjoyed my stay. If you don’t want the typical resort life but more of a independent vibe, this is a great place to be.

Robert and Becky the owners are gracious hosts and always willing to provide advice and help with planning trips. There are only three rooms here, we had the ground floor room which was very spacious although a little dark. Decoration is quite eclectic and unusual but very stylish. A comfortable bed and constant hot water provide the basics for a comfortable stay. The public areas have lots of seating options, two balconies and lots of books to peruse. For anyone wishing to just chill out in peaceful surroundings and close to nature (many birds in the large garden) it is just perfect. Dining options are limited so we had breakfast and dinner here on both nights. Food was excellent and Becky is always willing to accommodate dietary tastes.
