Katiusca brought us some special cake cooked by her mother for Swiss National Day and invited us to join a local celebration. Everything was perfect and I just didn’t want to leave, I felt like I had found a new friend! The whole experience was wonderful. I don’t often leave reviews but this was so well deserved. Thank you. This was probably the BEST place we have ever stayed on our travels. The location is magical, with views of mountains above and Bellinzona down below. There is a huge fenced yard that our dogs loved running around and tanning. The studio ("Loft") and really large and modern. Internet was super. The hosts we very attentive and caring, even provided beds and bowls for our dogs, which was so appreciated. We were supplied with fire wood to have a fire in the wood stove every night. We spent two weeks at Scarpape and traveled to various places, such as Valle Verzasca, Valle Maggia, Monte Generoso, Monte Lema, and many others. It's possible to go on hikes right from the front door. It's all very accessible. We will definitely be back!

This is also reflected in the house: from the communal spaces to the rooms themselves you can tell a lot of love and care has gone into every detail, there's a lot of character as well as a very high standard of cleanliness. Breakfast is also delicious and locally sourced, and Sara adapted it for us being vegan. 100% recommended to anyone who's thinking about visiting the area, and we'll definitely choose to stay at Cuore Alpino next time we're there.
