We spent many hours with our hosts being shown around, cooked for, and transported to different places on their boat. It felt like a very authentic and local experience and we were able to learn a lot about the people, history and culture of Arusí. The posada was beautifully set up and very comfortable. Comfy beds, great WiFi, a small but well equipped kitchen & 10 min walk to the village. The host was really lovely - took us on a beautiful hike where we fished, drank from fresh coconuts & cooked what we’d fished on a fire on the beach! He also cooked us the freshest tuna we’d ever eaten with homemade coconut milk. One of the best meals we’ve eaten on our trip!

Near everything affordable and the host were accommodating even allowing me to check in early before I was able to exchange my money to pay for the room. It was near affordable food, safe area with police presence nearby, walkable to the malecon , grocery stores, laundry and more. Water wasn’t cold.

Some rooms are fitted with a kitchen with a fridge, a stovetop and a toaster. My stay at Hannany was wonderful, Nachas food was so delicious and Eliazar was an excellent guide. They made me feel at home. The housing is basic, but more than enough. I highly recommend doing the 1 hour jungle trek, swimming in the river and going back on the river with a canoe, with Eliazar. It was so beautiful. They have constructed a resting place by the river, where you can stay overnight in the jungle. For the next time I’d love to do that excursion.
