Norem, Esteban and Valeria made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast and dinner (with the hummingbirds around) were delicious, prepared to the point and with several dishes to choose from. The cabins are all new, very well designed and furnished, the bathroom with steady and immediate hot and cold water supply. A garden with a small trail are in the making and will make spending time in the crisp and clean mountain air even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend Curuba Lodge which became our favorite place in Costa Rica! Tip: Esteban can connect you with a few guides to see the rare and iconic Quetzal birds.

The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Lovely location set in beautiful grounds. We sat watching the hummingbirds at the feeders for ages. Alot of thought has been put into the rustic cabins. Very impressed and the picture windows gave us a spectacular view of the valley in the morning. We walked one of the trails from the Lodge to a lovely waterfall. A bit steep and slippy in places but worth doing. Got pretty cold at night but plenty of blankets provided that kept us warm. Owner spoke good English which made up for our lack of Spanish. Definitely recommend this Lodge.

The owner Luis and his family are very nice. The casita was perfectly comfortable for 2-4 people and even had hot water in the shower! Overall we loved this place and will look forward to staying again someday!
