Gemma resort set the bar high to our expectations for the rest of the trip and an extraordinary example for Egyptian hospitality. Everything in the hotel was perfect. The rooms spacious and cleans, pools clean and in different locations and beaches were amazing with great snorkeling spots. I can not speak enough about the food, no moment in the day where food is not served and in different cuisines with amazing quality. The most interesting part to me thing is that everyone is assuring you are having good time in your stay and I literally mean EVERYONE. Whether it is Mr Mahmoud, Hazem and Mohamed on the front desk or Atef and Abdo on the pool and the beach or Chef Mohamed Salah in the kitchen, every single one of these gentlemen made sure that our stay was comfortable and did not hesitate to provide the required assistance.

Everyone, everywhere, would remember who you are, what you like and how you like to have it. Front desk made me feel like I own this place, not just a guest staying therein. Food is excellent, quality and variety, especially the Alfredo restaurant (nothing else comes close to their Italian-cuisine experience). Room was spacious, stylishly fitted, and I was privileged with an astonishing view overlooking greenery, pool and the sea ... By far this was the best stay I had in the Red Sea this season, and I had many. Kudus to The Palace team 👏👏👏

Even European hotels could learn a lot about customer service from this hotel. A special thank you to Mostafa, who was my personal assistant and the manager of the front office. He is a true professional in business development and client relations. The hospitality at this hotel made me fall in love with Egypt all over again. The staff is attentive to every detail, and they made my birthday unforgettable. It's also a great hotel for children, with a beautiful lagoon in the sea and an aquapark. A big thank you to the animators – very well done and diverse. There's something for everyone. The cocktails and coffee were also of excellent quality, especially for Egypt. I will definitely be coming back, possibly even this year.

Sentido Reef Oasis Suakin Resort features a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Marsa Alam City. With a garden, the 5-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. There is free private parking and the property offers free airport shuttle service. The accommodation was truly stunning. We got upgraded to a premium room and the room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was a large TV and great WiFi. (The TV didn’t connect to the internet properly for apps but we just watched the channels). The shower was a huge rain shower. There was a terrace which had lovely views of the sunrise. The food selection in the restaurants was amazing. The drinks and the cocktails were also great. There were 10 or so pools which were all great. The beach was also lovely and there was an area for snorkelling. The hotel is not quite finished so not everything was open yet, but what’s open already was more than fine. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. When we arrived it was just before the end of lunchtime, and they took us straight to one of the restaurants on a golf cart so that we could eat before we got to our room. We got food poisoning shortly after arriving here (not sure from where) but the staff arranged free transfer to the next resort over where we went to the doctor and the driver waited for us for almost two hours when we were receiving care. (I think there will be a clinic on site but this hadn’t opened yet)

A recently renovated guest house, La Casa Guest House offers accommodation in Marsa Alam City. This beachfront property offers access to darts, free private parking and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The La Casa team really made us feel at home and met all of our needs. Karim is a great host and prepares a DELICIOUS breakfast! The manager is very responsive and helped us organize day trips and transfers even last minute. The rooms were huge and very clean. The location is quiet, on the outskirts of Marsa Alam (15 Min walk from the center). Nothing or no one around but we felt safe. Marsa Alam is a bit of a ghost town in general so don't expect much going on - a good chance to disconnect :)
