The mattress was excellent and very comfortable. The pillow, however, was not great, so if you are sensitive to pillows, I recommend bringing your own. Having an electric car, I also really appreciated the Tesla charger right next to the hotel — this was a great surprise.

The gourmet dinner we had one night was one of the best we have ever had topped off with a lovely digestive! It was a great base to drive from to visit various parts and places of the Dordogne. The room was immaculate, comfortable and well set up with its own entrance.

Our hosts were delightful and so welcoming. Our room and terrace, despite the rain was perfect and beautifully & lovingly restored as was the rest of the chateau over many years. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and they welcomed our dog as long as she was leashed at all times naturally, as not to disturb the resident cats and pony’s.

I've rated this excellent because of its value for money for what it is. This was a safe, private, comfortable, clean, cool room with an en-suite shower and toilet. Plus there was a kettle which on my travels seems increasingly rare! The wifi was excellent and the breakfast was simple but delicious consisting of different bread toasts and spreads. The coffee with breakfast in the morning was great. Very friendly service all the time. Thank you! There are two beds but the double is a small double, so to my mind the room is for the sole traveller or a couple.
