Hotel Île De Lumière ligt op Ile d'Oleron en biedt directe toegang tot het strand. Het heeft een buitenzwembad, een tennisbaan en vele andere faciliteiten. The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

He later gave us many tips and places to see and to eat. He was so very nice. Tiffany treated us to an upgrade which was so very kind of her. We were greeted with her friendly smile and warm welcoming followed with a glass of champagne. Such a pleasant entrance to our stay! The room was absolutely gorgeous. An entire area dedicated to coffee, hot chocolate, and a fridge with drinks, etc. The main room had a table, sofa, chairs, end table - all was comfortable and spacious. The bedroom was large! A king bed (super comfortable), end tables, a huge closet with robes and slippers. The bathroom off the room was also large! Nice lighting, mirrors, sink and wonderful shower.

Situated in the lively Saint Nicolas district in La Rochelle, this hotel is surrounded by antique dealers, bars and cafés. It offers free Wi-Fi and a conservatory with large sofas and tropical plants.... Perfect location, nice interior, parking at the site, clean and comfortable room, friendly and welcoming staff. Super!

We only stayed one night but I could imagine a whole summer in these settings.
