The room was very nice; looks to have been refurbished not too long back, and the bathroom was quite spacious. We were made to feel welcome (including the dog) and the bar/ dining room are cosy with a good atmosphere. We were fortunate that our stay coincided with a musical event one evening, which was really good. The breakfast/ food was all fine and small touches like miniature milk bottles in the room were appreciated.

Everything was perfect for the whole family. The host was very kind and gave us detailed information for check in and parking. Parking was easy and there was plenty of space available. The key collection was quick. The property is huge and very spacious, extremely clean and extremely well equipped. Wi-Fi is fast and of good quality. A modern property with a pleasant atmosphere. The beds are very comfortable and the two bathrooms are ideal for larger families. It is centrally located in the Scottish Borders with many attractions nearby. We would have been happy to stay longer. I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Boasting quiet street views, Pergola Cottage is situated in Melrose, around 43 km from Dalhousie Castle. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. Great location, and adorable! The hosts were quick to respond when needed. There is street parking out front which was quite convenient. We walked over the chain bridge into Melrose (coffee, pubs, Melrose Abbey, groceries) which was lovely. There was coffee, tea and milk at the flat which was a nice touch & the view out to the garden so beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised to find hair dryers with diffuser attachments! Everything was comfortable and clean, 10/10.
