Food was very good and helpings were quite substantial. Our room had a lovely balcony with a table and seating just a pity it was raining. We left early morning so missed breakfast but I’m sure breakfast would have been excellent.

The pub hotel is excellent, very comfortable, friendly staff and the food is very high quality at breakfast you need to be hungry.

Location was perfect for us, on a nice quiet street with good parking, just steps away from the University campus. Owner friendly, flexible and fast to address all of our requests. The property is an old traditional house, preserving a lot of features. Room very spacious and decorated in line with the period of the house and well kitted with everything, including a mini-fridge and a mobile heater. Good internet! Very big bathroom, fitted with both shower and bathtub and with a generous selection of lotions and bath soaks. The breakfast had a good variety of food, a cold-buffet type, with a range of teas and coffees. All self-serving, just make-your-own.
