It had a really good combination of privacy in our room as well as comfortable common areas that made it feel like we were just staying with the family. Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.

I loved hearing the sheep while having a coffee in the morning with my book. There is a mini fridge with a freezer! so I was able to buy some ice cream and store it for later, the bathroom has towel warmers, and the shower is spacious. I needed help with the shower on my first day and in less than 5 minutes Graham came in and helped me. We also chatted a bit about his travels. What a wonderful time!

Very nicely decorated and well equipped little house right in the center of Kirkwall that felt like a home from home. I had my choice of the two bedrooms and opted for the back bedroom which was wonderfully quiet with a comfy bed and choice of pillows. The welcome basket was very generous and the price for two nights was very reasonable. It is surrounded by shops and coffee places. I fully recommend this to anyone as a great option to a hotel.
