I was genuinely so surprised by Riverside and for all the best reasons! We were greeted with the warmest welcome and given a tour of this truly magnificent property. It oozes character and the owners have very tastefully decorated every inch of this beautiful home. You can tell a lot of time, thought and effort is put into the upkeep. The grounds are stunning and kept so clean - I don't think you could ever get sick of the views. The house itself is absolutely spotless which is testament to the hard work the owners clearly put in. Our room was one of the "older" rooms which we loved as it was like stepping back in time yet we had all the amenities needed - a lovely warm shower, huge comfortable bed (an extra bed in the room too!), a kettle and tea/coffee, a hairdryer and a TV. You have access to a shared fridge and there are irons and ironing boards on hand if needed. The room was immaculately clean and the perfect place to relax and get a fantastic night's sleep. Breakfast was genuinely the best I have ever had in any hotel/b&b - the homemade bread is divine! The most special part of Riverdale however, is Patricia. She is warm, welcoming and just an all round lovely person. We thoroughly enjoyed her company and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful weekend, so much so we booked to return before we left. I genuinely cannot recommend this place any higher. If you want to completely relax and unwind in the most amazing surroundings only a very short walk/drive to a beautiful village, you won't get better than Riverside Farm B&B. Don't think, just book.

The picturesque town of Carrick-on-Shannon is home to the Aisleigh Guest House. The River Shannon is just a 10-minute walk and bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and TVs. Secure, free parking is available on site. We had a wonderful stay at Aisleigh Guest House. Our room was lovely and bright and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts tasty, plentiful and promptly served. Charlotte and her husband were so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. I would highly recommend staying there. They are very good value for money and close to the main town. We would definitely return. Thank you Charlotte!
