The only negative thing you will see people mention in their reviews is the homestays distance from Munnar. But not me! Munnar is nice, but it is BUSY. Buses, cars, people, noise, honking. This homestay is so picturesque and quiet all you can hear is birdsong. I wanted a peaceful stay in the western ghats and this is exactly what I got. The bus to Munnar is 35rupees and takes 40 minutes with unreal views all the way and they are every 10 minutes so getting there is easy. There is lots to do in the area and the family can help organise excursions too if that is what you're after. I was fortunate enough on one of mine to see 5 wild elephants drinking in the river which will stay with me forever. Thank you Jubia, Jaan and family for an amazing stay. Her food is the best we had, she helped with transport to her homestay, for a tuk tuk to take us sight seeing one day and was very quick to respond to any questions. The place was perfect for us. We needed a few days down time where we could chill and do things at our own pace in a peaceful environment.
