The ryokan has family rooms. It was the best four days in my three weeks visiting in Japan. This ryokan is very cosy. Though everything looked authentic and traditional all the facilities weren't old, but instead very clean an modern. The breakfast was very tasty and there was variety each day. If you don't take the cable car (station is right next to the ryokan) you'll get a good workout each day, when you explore the surroundings - mainly the beautiful temples. There are many stairs! After a day of waking, relaxing in the onsen was the highlight of my day. But the best thing was the very friendly owner and staff. Even though I couldn't speak Japanese they helped me with everything and were really caring. I will definitely be back! :)

The owners were incredibly kind, even taking me cherry blossom viewing in Asuka Village. The location is quiet yet convenient, with a supermarket and convenience store nearby. I borrowed a bicycle from the owner to explore charming Imai-chō village with its beautiful old buildings and cafes and shops - a highlight of my trip! From Miwa Station, it's easy to hike the historic Yamanobe-no-michi trail to Tenri. Loved that too.

This is a wonderfull Little guesthouse, in a scenic location not too far from the train station. It is a bit of a walk on foot but easily accessible by taxi and the way to nearby Koyasan is very convenient by train. The owner is amazing as are the views and the guesthouse itself. I highly recommend it.
