I loved the onsen and their massage chairs, and you can borrow manga if you'd like. The breakfast, a mixture of Japanese and Western, was delicious. Great hotel in Matsushima, loved my stay there! I arrived a little bit earlier than expected and the team helped me doing an early check-in. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Location is great too: it's a short walking distance to the city centre and also close to the Matsushima and Takagimachi JR stations. The hotel team was outstanding: the couple managing the ryokan are great and the rest of the team did a very very good job too. Very good value for money. Highly recommended!
