The room was extremely comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities for lodgers or even hikers travelling on bare essentials (there's a hairdryer thank goodness!!), the bathroom was clean and made for a wonderful soak at the end of a hard hike, and Ike-san went out of his way to ensure my comfort and convenience - from giving me a lift to the nearby eatery when I ran out of dinner options to generously gifting me a poncho before I set off for my hike in the rain. I'd also like to mention that his place is literally next to the Chikatsuyu-oji marker on the Kumano Kodo trail for those who are making this a rest stop on their hike. Thank you for the hospitality!!
