Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and free private parking is available on site. Our stay here was impressive, we had the deluxe family room, which was spacious and had a cozy Japanese vibe to it. The hotel staff was amazing and even though I changed our arrival day like 10 times and we arrived so late in the evening, dinner was prepared for us and we had a private traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Local souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop and free parking is available. Guests can listen to the piano and relax at the lounge, which overlooks the garden. Luggage storage is offered at the front desk. Staff is sooo friendly and helpful with everything. There is shuttles to the station every 20minutes and the rooms are so spacious and clean and with attention to detail - we loved it. The outside Onsen is beautiful and tattoo friendly.

Staff very supportive and food was very good

The owners are friendly and welcoming and make every effort to make you feel at home and help you find your way around while in Yamagata. Dinner is optional but I wouldn't miss it and was glad that I didn't, beautifully home cooked dishes that were absolutely delicious, with a good selection of drink to accompany it. Close proximity to two train stations makes this a breeze to get to as well. They cultivate a wonderful warm atmosphere which made this among the best stays of my 6 week journey around Japan.
